Flickr fun

We now have a Bin the Bike Ban Flickr group.

If you already have a Flickr account, you can join and post images directly to the group pool. If not, you can still email them to us and we will put them up. The 6 latest images from the pool will have little thumbnails at the bottom of the menu on the right. If you use feeds (like RSS) you can subscribe to the latest images feed.

You could put up

  • Slogan-like images
  • Images showing the peaceful coexistence of bikes and train passengers
  • Any other creative variations you can think of etc.

Any offensive images or text will not be permitted, so keep it nice!

  2. Well I looked at the Flickr images. Apart from the slogan postings by one person, there are no images of peaceful co-existence between commuters and cyclists implying it doesn’t exist.
    I note the one propaganda image of a washing machine being loaded into a train appears to be outside peak hour – note the empty seats and apparently no other commuters in shot.

    Very bizarre comment and style of language – what agenda are you vainly attempting to push?

    One that clearly isn’t there?

    The image is a close cropped picture so what ever inference you are trying to push is downright spurious.

    From what I can read on this site, this campaign is about improving travelling opinions for all public transport users.

    Bicycle riders are being used as scapegoats by the State Government, its another childish diversion away from the real problems.

  4. Gently…the set was only just uploaded and will be added to over the next few days. I have peacefully coexisted as a commuter with my bike on the train during peak hour for more than a year now, as have many of my fellow bike commuters.

    I have 4 photos from consecutive days that I will upload tonight. I’ll also continue taking one or two per day for the rest of this month.
