For this to happen, another executive order must be given (by the Director of Public Transport) and tabled in the Gazette. This will no doubt occur in time, but at this stage there is no ability of transport officers to fine you." So all they can do at this stage is ask you to get off at the next station. Then again, I've never actually seen rail staff on an overcrowded peakhour train, so it's a bit of a hypothetical ;) (Also, check the wording of the Connex notice very carefully: <em>surfboards are not actually included in the ban</em>) To Jess:

I think just hanging around the station is more the point. You are 100% correct that jamming onto packed trains at any time of the day with bicycles made of any material, is not a crowd-pleasing move. :) To Bethany:

Many other families rely on it for far more important reasons such as getting to and from work and school. What can I do here in Woodend to help fight this absurd ban? I think that it will only make us look like trouble makers and will do exactly what the government are saying we're doing - taking up space.
